From Uncertainty to Purpose — Joy Ajayi's Story

My name is Joy Ajayi, and I am currently a student in Makurdi. I volunteer with The Esther Foundation.

Before I joined The Esther Foundation, I was just another student trying to figure life out. I struggled in my spiritual life—I didn't know how to pray consistently, how to organize myself, or how to build a genuine relationship with God. I also found it difficult to express love, not only to people around me but even to myself. I lacked confidence and never really believed I could become someone God could use for His purpose.

From Uncertainty to Purpose — Joy Ajayi's Story

My name is Joy Ajayi, and I am currently a student in Makurdi. I volunteer with The Esther Foundation.

Everything began to change when I encountered The Esther Foundation. Through the love they showed, the teachings they shared, and the lives they lived before us, I began to see myself differently. They helped me understand that although I am not perfect, I am deeply valuable in God's eyes. One of the Scriptures that strengthened my faith was Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Another verse that gave me hope was Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” These truths transformed the way I saw myself and my future.

The Esther Foundation taught me how to pray, how to grow in my relationship with God, and how to live a life that reflects love, kindness, purpose, and service to others. Today, I am becoming a more confident person—bold in my faith, grounded in God's Word, and willing to serve wherever He leads me. The Foundation has not only invested in my growth but has also helped shape the person I am becoming.

My heartfelt prayer is that God will continue to bless and strengthen everyone behind The Esther Foundation. May He provide all the resources needed, enlarge their reach, and continue to use them to transform many more lives, just as they have transformed mine.

To everyone at The Esther Foundation, thank you. You have been a blessing from God to me, and I will always be grateful for the difference you have made in my life.
